The Lawn Hotel

74 Bath Rd, Reading RG30 2BE, UK – 0118 959 0342

Booked this place whilst on a business trip over some time. The rooms are very clean and facilities are very presentable. The staff member at the reception is very friendly and very approacheable. There isnt a vending machine so you may have to take a long walk to get to shop. I will recommend to anyone looking to stay over in Reading as I am pleased with the services and staff member is brilliant and very helpful.

Well worth the money just could do with better pillows on the beds it was like sleeping on a log

Best Western Reading Calcot Hotel

Bath Road, Calcot, Reading RG31 7QN, UK – 0118 941 6423

Excellent. Good rooms, excellent size and very clean and tidy. Bathroom was decent size and standard as well. Room was surprisingly quiet despite having to walk through the bar area to get to it and some events being on so pleasantly surprised. Was a way out of time but near motorway so can be a plus or minus depending on your view. It may not be the Ritz but was extremely comfortable stay, had very good facilities and excellent value for money with helpful friendly staff.

Suited our needs really well. Great location at a reasonable price for a couple of Aussie visitors. Clean and reasonably spacious for the UK. On a busy road but double glazing seems pretty standard here in the UK so the noise was minimal. Car parking was great which was unusual because it's been a premium everywhere else we have been. Would definitely book again.

Hotel ibis Styles Reading Oxford Rd

648-654 Oxford Rd, Reading RG30 1EH, UK – 0118 359 3290

Good value but full of workmen staying during week. V basic parking a rip off

Basic, no frills hotel and although the decor is now a little tired, everything was very clean. Staff are friendly and helpful. When the lock on our door broke, they quickly moved us to another room. Breakfast is buffet style with both hot (bacon, beans and scrambled egg) and cold selections (cold meat, cheese, fruit and Yoghurts). There is a choice of several different cereals and fruit juice. A slightly annoying aspect is the additional £5 charge per night for the car parking. If you are using public transport, however, there is a bus stop virtually outside the front of the hotel, with buses running every few minutes into the centre of Reading.

This is an Intesting place. You never quite now what your going to get. One day it could be really crowded the others, it could be quite calm. But over all the pub is rearly nice and welcominget. It is also dog friendly which is always a plus.

Excellent! Fantastic location next to a canal! Excellent staff, quality food! Run by a family. Dog friendly. They have a darts board, which is a big bonus! :-)

The Bull

The Greyhound

24 The St, Reading RG8 8ER, UK – 0118 984 3557

We had a wonderful lunch, sat outside watching the world go by. Highlight was the creamy garlic toast. Service was quick although they warned us it might be a wait. Staff were very friendly. Beer was good, but it is a fullers after all.

Good food, friendly service and a relaxed atmosphere.

Travel Super Market search and compare prices for hotels all over the world. Could also be useful for you. I This said I was told by a hotelier that the way to get cheap rooms is to ring up the week before and ask for the weekend rate. You can usually get an absolute bargain as they will trying to book all the rooms that they have not sold! Could be worth a try!
