Good hotel: not overly expensive for the area, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Staff are very helpful and welcoming, and the overall feel of the place is a nice balance between being relaxed and informal without being slummy or rowdy, as other lower piced hotels can be. Stayed here a few times now and never had a bad experience; it's not luxurious like a spa hotel, but wouldn't expect that for the price. It's clean and comfortable with good staff, though, and when I'm travelling for work, that's exactly what I want. Essentially, if you want a romantic, luxurious weekend away, it's probably not for you, but if you're working in the area and want somewhere that caters for all the basics very very well, is clean and comfortable, and has a pretty decent restaurant, look no further.
Great value hotel. Room is of a reasonable standard with a good shower. The breakfast is excellent. Self serve, good ingredients, lovely service and a wide range. Bar is decent although for a beer drinker there isn't really enough choice. But that always seems to be the way with hotel bars, doesn't it? Lovely staff too.

Great venue, friendly staff and ample free parking. Been a few times and for a Christmas work meal - food here is well prepared and tasty. Would recommend a visit if you are around the area and want a few drinks/ meal.
Nice pub, and a great location. We arrived just after opening time on a Sunday and so it was very quiet. Building and decor are all very good and well thought out. Facilities for groups also very good, including drinking water for dogs and also a dog biscuit jar. Prices very reasonable considering the location and quality of the pub. Couple of minor gripes, today it snowed and it was a bit chilly inside unless you happen to be sat next to one of the many fires. Only other issue for me was slightly tough Cod on the fish and chips option. Other than that a greta place to east

Always busy so speaks for itself food good worth booking.
This is an Intesting place. You never quite now what your going to get. One day it could be really crowded the others, it could be quite calm. But over all the pub is rearly nice and welcominget. It is also dog friendly which is always a plus.
