Nice gym with good equipment but changing rooms need an uplift. Badly.
It used to be my social club during employment with Prudential. Beautiful venue offering great facilities.

A nice venue for parties - if you love a golfer. I went for a birthday party and the clubhouse was quite well equipped to handle the party, with one minor exception. The interior seems old, but the golf club goes back to the 1930's I believe, so I give it a pass on historic grounds......not that it needed any. The bar had a wide variety of drinks available, and drinks were very nicely priced. They had all of the modern conveniences that a venue should have, except for the tinny sounding speakers they have inside the club. They cannot handle any music effectively past a certain volume level, which is a shame but it is really not that big of a deal. My bottom line - it is a nice place for party, full stop.
Most beautiful surroundings. Lakes and staff are lovely.

Venue is Ok. The trouble with this place is locating it! Google maps and Sat Nav’s send you up by the 17th and the venue clubhouse isn’t clearly signposted from the country lane it’s on. We had to call a local to guide us in. If you’re arriving at night make sure to ask the venue to point you in the right direction. I still don’t know the actual address of the club house! The website also needs to make clear where the club house entrance is also. The venue itself is quite nice, nothing special in my opinion. Food was average, as was the lager.
Good course. Worth a play
Goosecroft Ln, Purley-on-Thames, Reading RG8 8DR, UK – 0118 984 3061
Very good social club, catering for residents of (and the occasional visitor to...) Purley. Drinks are cheap (especially if you're a member.. ), atmosphere is nice, and staff and punters are pleasant. This place is very much the dogs proverbials, when it comes to social clubs. Check it!
Friendly and good value . We had my son 's wake here. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The food was of a very good standard and very varied. Made a very difficult day just that bit easier
Fawley Rd, Reading RG30 3EP, UK – 07884 257247
A friendly badminton club. Quite certain the club would be more successful on court if they can play as well as they drink ;)

Run down but not an overly unpleasant environment
Visiting for Cardiac Rehabilitation classes from the NHS, so can't really judge. Building is a bit run down, but it fulfils its purpose.
